Kent Comley

Together with my wife Christine, manage the Barn Steakhouse and Accommodation. I have recently launched Kent and Co Wines, a boutique Mount Gambier brand. My background was in wine marketing, having previously worked for Southcorp Wines, Tyrrells Wines and a decade in Coonawarra at Hollick Wines.
I arrived in 1999, the year that I married my wife Christine.
The strong sense of community and the great lifestyle, not to mention a great golf course.
I am convinced that Mount Gambier has a great deal to offer and that tourism will be a key driver of economic growth of the region. I believe that the initiatives that TMG are undertaking are critical to enhancing the visitor economy and that my industry and board experience enables me to contribute positively to the formulation of strategies.

Kim Simpson

Kim has tertiary qualifications in Accounting. For nearly 20 years she has been an Authorised Franchisee of Avis, a car rental company, with locations in Mount Gambier and surrounds. Kim also runs a successful accommodation business featuring several self-contained beachside holiday homes. She has been in the travel and customer service industry for over 25 years.
I have been living in Mount Gambier for 23 years and married a local lad and we have 2 children.
I am a country girl at heart and loves the diversity of living in Mount Gambier. I love the community feel of a small country town mixed with the culture of a city, the good quality local produce, natural wonders and beauty of the region and of course the great wine!

I believe that Mount Gambier is one of the best places to live in the world and wants to share it with others.  I also believe that by improving the tourism culture in Mount Gambier we will make the area prosper for the next generation.

Lyn McLachlan

I have been in the hospitality and retail industry in Grampians for a number of years. I was also engaged in the public sector, where I managed major government projects, including funding applications. Two years ago I started The Limestone Coast pantry to promote and sale products made from local produce.
All together, about 13 years now.
It is a highly productive and resource rich area and hence my reason for starting a new business. It offers opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds. It has such diversity, with the coast nearby, geological futures and the Coonawarra, which lends itself towards the tourism industry.
My experience in the private retail and public sector and my involvement with the Northern Grampians tourist group will benefit this role and I can make a positive contribution. My cross border networks can also assist in collaboration between Western Victoria and us.
