Be Illuminated with the Digital Garden in Mount Gambier.

Presented by Illuminate Adelaide in partnership with the South Australian Tourism Commission, the Digital Garden has come to illuminate the city of Mount Gambier at Cave Garden/Thugi. Come and experience the magical lights with all new captivating installations, projections, and interactive lighting from renowned artists from South Australia and overseas.

Inspired by Australian tidal rock pools, The Pool is a giant field of circles that activate by touch, creating swirling streams of light. This installation uses cutting edge mesh-network technology to bring this vivid pool to life.

Also featured at the Digital Gardens will be the installations Submergence by Squidsoup and Neon Winter & I Am Here by Carla O’Brien.

Submergence uses thousands of individual suspended lights to submerge the viewer in a sea of vivid and twinkling lights.

Neon Winter will transport you to a winter wonderland where you can give a neon snowman a hug, take a selfie with an adorable baby penguin, or ‘wear’ a pair of oversized neon oven mittens!

Accompanying the Digital Garden will be a number of events throughout the duration of Illuminate.

With wine provided by Raidis Estate and Soup & Sweets by the Apple Farm.

Friday from 6:45pm    /     Saturday from 6:00pm.

  • Saturday 13 August – ‘Winter Artisan Markets’

Location: At both the City Hall and Mount Gambier Library.

Riddoch and Youth artists markets, buskers, and food trucks will bustling for the Winter Artisan Markets.

Arrive from 5:00pm and grab some locally made products while enjoying the lights.

  • Friday 19 August/Saturday 20 August – ‘Bright Nights by Jens’

Live music from atop the Jens balcony, bars and food. See you there?
