2019 83rd Annual Mt Gambier 100 Mile Classic Weekend
May 18, 2019 - May 19, 2019
One of Australia’s oldest bike races, the 83rd Annual Mount Gambier 100 Mile Classic will depart from Tenison Woods College at 10am. Bunches of riders will be separated out by their ability and depart over a period of one hour, with the fastest riders leaving last and spending the day hunting down those up the road who started earlier – it’s anyone’s game!
In addition to the 100-mile open handicap, a Women’s 111km handicap race will run on a similar course to the 160km race at the same time, and there will be Junior Classic racing on during the day while the handicaps are underway.
The SA State Kermesse Championship is again being held around the picturesque 3.6km Blue Lake Circuit on Sunday, 19 May 2019 from 8am with various grades of racing throughout the morning, finishing around 1pm. These graded Kermesse races will determine who is the fastest in the State, so there’s sure to be plenty of fast-paced and high-stakes racing to be seen!
