Following the National Science Week, the Activating Australians for Citizen Science proudly brings to Mount Gambier the event ‘Empowering Mount Gambier through Citizen Science’ on 24-25th of August.

The event will promote an opportunity for all citizens to come along and enjoy a day in the nature in the Valley Lake, watching and taking pictures of the local biodiversity, and having their photographs exhibited in the public library.

This event is free and open to all photography and nature lovers and allows an opportunity to contribute to raising scientific data on species distribution.

Everybody can become a citizen scientist.

Join us in this 2-day event and discover the biodiversity in Mount Gambier.

When: 24 and 25th of August. 24/08 – Conversation about citizen science projects, a nature walk at the Valley Lake Wildlife Park, observation and photography. 25/08 – Photo exhibition at the Mount Gambier library.

Where: 24/08 -> 10 – 11:30 am: Mt Gambier Library – 6 Watson Terrace, Mount Gambier SA 5290

24/08 -> 1 – 4 pm: Valley Lake Wildlife Park – Davison Dr, Mount Gambier SA 5290

25/08 -> 11 am – 2 pm: Mount Gambier Library – 6 Watson Terrace, Mount Gambier SA 5290
