The former Limestone Coast journalist is now a Rural Romance author with Allen & Unwin, with Paperbark Hill the fourth and final novel in the McIntyre sister’s series. All three novels have been voted into the ‘Better Reading Top 100’ and made their way onto bestseller lists.

Maya has drawn on her own love of gardening and baking to bring you yet another fabulous novel that will appeal to anyone who enjoys a great family saga.

Paperbark Hill tells the story of Dianna McIntyre and her dream of starting a flower farm as well as dealing with four boisterous boys, one of whom is going to be a future cricket star.
Set in the western districts of the Grampian’s mountain range, we are also introduced to locum pharmacist and single dad, Ned Gardiner, who hasn’t called Victoria home in years. However, he must return to the district after the death of his father and keep the family egg farm running.
The two are brought together and a strong connection is established – but this isn’t just a romance book. It deals with deep complex family issues including grief, healing, addiction, and loss.

Whilst we have the familiar characters from the previous books, Paperbark Hill stands on its own and you don’t need to have read the previous three novels.

This is an in-conversation event where we discuss everything close to Maya’s heart including family, writing, baking, gardening and discover how Maya has become the host of the Libby OverDrive online monthly show called ‘Library Lovers with Maya Linnell.

Free event with refreshments provided.
