The modern pressure cookers are so safe, and have numerous functions, like slow cooking, bread rising and yoghurt settings.
In this class we’re going to make meltingly tender Pulled Pork from scratch in just 30 mins. What a wonderful way to incorporate something warming and delicious that you’d normally save for the weekends or special occasions.
Next we make a Lamb Curry from scratch, including the paste from scratch, but the wonderful thing about this dish is the method of cooking the rice on the stand above the curry on the bottom. All in the same time of 25 mins and all in the one pot. You can get a good chicken curry in half an hour on a stove top but for Lamb and Beef where you’d normally use slow cooking cuts, using the Pressure Cooker, saves all that time and you don’t miss out on the flavour.
The other thing I want to cook with you is dried beans from scratch. I never think in advance to soak my dried beans the day before and then cook for an hour. I usually open a tin of cooked beans…… But actually the pressure cooker cooks them in half an hour and because you control what liquid they get cooked in, you can really take something as boring as beans to the next level.
We end the class dining on these delicious meals we’ve just created with any leftovers to take home.
By the end of the class you’ll leave with the confidence to create meals that would normally take ages, in half an hour in the pressure cooker. I can’t wait!
