Make sure you spend some time enjoying our outstanding playgrounds. The Valley Lakes Precinct is home to an incredible adventure playground with wheelchair facilities. The Railway Lands has a nature play area perfect for the little ones and Vansittart Park also has a playground you won’t want to miss. There are also other smaller playgrounds around town too.

Feed the possums at Umpherston Sinkhole

At the unique Umpherston Sinkhole, the resident possums come out and play at dusk. Make sure you pack some fresh fruit and veggies for you to give them. It is important to remember that these possums are wild, so be careful. It is also a great place for a picnic, with BBQ facilities on site.

Meet the animals at Echo Farm

Experience life on a small working farm & take the self-guided Echo Farm walk to meet & greet the animals in a farm environment. Including goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, pigs, emu, sheep, cats, geese, wallaby & donkey.  Echo Farm offer an old style farm experience with animal interaction. Help feed some of the animals and pet some of the favorites. There is also a small selection of soft drinks, homemade biscuits and preserves as well as souvenirs for sale.
