South East Radio Group Annual Convention & Australian “Fox Hunting” Championships

The tradition continues – The South East Radio Group sponsor the Australian Fox Hunting Championship which involves Hounds (Radio Amateurs using directional antennas to locate hidden transmitters) over the two days.
Held in Mount Gambier on the King’s Birthday weekend 8th and 9th June, it’s time to brush off the fox hunting gear, fine tune the pre-amps and check the antennas. What devious and car swallowing locations will be used by the foxes in 2024.
Saturday starts with the Fox Hunting at approximately 10.00am, beginning with hunting on foot in the local area and moving on to vehicle mounted hunts into the areas around the city in the afternoon and into the night.
On Sunday the Mount Gambier Scout Group Hall is open for the convention at 9.00am until about 4.00pm, with a second day of Fox Hunting topped off by the famous convention dinner in the evening.
Convention entry fee $5.00 per head to hall, evening dinner $25.00
