Established in 1860 the Mount Gambier A&H Society provides the community with a major source of fun and entertainment, whether it’s the thrills of the side shows, the promise of show bags, or the enticement of the usual hot cinnamon doughnuts, the Mount Gambier show has something for all ages.

Held on the third weekend of October (after the first full week) the show is the largest of its kind outside of the Royal Adelaide Show and sees around 10,000 people through its gates over the three day event from all walks of life and parts of South Australia and the Western Districts of Victoria.

Hosted by the Mount Gambier A&H Society, the Mount Gambier Show offers a wide range of entertainment for the whole family. Not just a place to grab a show bag or seek out the thrill of sideshow alley. The show will feature indoor and outdoor trade exhibits, horses in action, yard dog trials, and log chopping.

Not to be missed is the Agriculture Learning Centre. The Agriculture Learning Centre has been developed to promote programs and activities of our schools through the theme of agriculture. Children will learn about agriculture through a range of static and interactive displays, presentations and activities. The will be encouraged to touch, taste, look, listen and learn about farming and food production.

The show concludes Saturday evening with a spectacular fireworks display.
