Iconic sites across Australia have been nominated in a nationwide search to recognise the “7 Wonders of Australia”. The Limestone Coast have two sites in the running for the title, Umpherston Sinkhole and the Naracoorte Caves.

This campaign is being run by Australia’s largest travel experience providers, Experience Oz.

Naracoorte Caves

Naracoorte Caves is South Australia’s only World Heritage Site, being 1 of only 19 World Heritage site in Australia. Formed over 1 million years ago, they are one of the world’s most important fossil sites. The Naracoorte Caves National Park contains a priceless fossil record of the ancient animals that once roamed the local landscape.
